Oblivion was the world’s first vertical drop rollercoaster. Oblivion was B&M’s first Dive Machine-type rollercoaster, a now world-reknowned ride brand. Oblivion generates the sense and fear and a sure-fire adrenalin rush even as soon as you enter the queue. Much like the majority of X-Sector, the theming in the queueline and around the ride is that of a secret government base. The coaster uses wide trains where those riding on the sidemost seats are not above the track. Oblivion takes you sixty feet above the ground, crawls around the lift-hill’s turn for a somewhat agonizing period of time, then holds you for several seconds at the top of the 180 feet, vertical drop into a dark, mist-shrouded hole. Upon release from the holding brakes at the foot of the drop, you fall down the drop at a shocking pace with superb negative G-forces (or ‘floating airtime’). You then rocket through the tunnel pulling a maximum of 4.5G-force and then perform a steeply banked turn outiside, stumbles down a slight hill before hitting the brakes. Oblivion provides a short but very thrilling experience!
Welcome to the unknown, welcome to eternal darkness, welcome, to Oblivion…

Cool ride, with superb build up and some great forces!
9/10!
